Trauma silent storm

Trauma is a deeply emotional response to a distressing experience that goes way beyond an ordinary hardship.  A traumatic event can happen suddenly and unexpectedly and can't be predicted. Trauma can involve a very serious threat to life—such as bodily injury or death—or surviving physical or sexual abuse, terrorism, or a catastrophic accident, leaving you feeling intense fear, helplessness, or super vigilant that something like that can happen again!

Trauma can also be less pronounced; for example, maybe it includes an unexpected experience, such as the death of a loved one or a pet; some kind of work-related challenge, like being fired; or experiencing some kind of racial aggression, whether in public or, for example, on social media.  And while you may think the impact is not as severe as bodily injury or death, it still affects you, your quality of life, and your emotional well-being, making you feel horrible and exhausted!

Trauma can also be more complex because you may have had prolonged exposure to multiple traumatic events or ongoing stressors, for example, childhood abuse, neglect, or living in a super unsafe environment, which impacts your ability to cope, form healthy relationships, or regulate your emotions, causing you to experience chronic anxiety or forming and holding onto a thought or behavior that is not true to your real identity, causing you to change your self-image, goals, values, and dreams; or, finding it hard to commit to a job, a relationship, or values, and overall leaving you with feelings of severe, painful emptiness affecting your daily life and direction!

You want to emerge from the echoes by navigating trauma’s silent storm, but you need help discovering your resilience and strength to rewrite your narrative.  You seek healing.  Your resilience will be your compass!  Your resilience led you here!
