Privacy & Policy

Reyes Therapy Services Corporation (RTSC) therapists DO NOT provide crisis intervention, psychiatric services, intensive outpatient services, after hours support, intensive case management, and/or services outside the scope of a private psychotherapy practice model (e.g., ESA letters, evaluations, disability determination, expert witness testimony). Such requests and/or needs increase the likelihood of your referral becoming “ineligible” or exceeding the service provision of RTSC therapists.

Once you and your RTSC affiliated therapist consent to begin working together in a therapeutic relationship, you will be “accepted” into the therapy practice as a "client."

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

Purpose: The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include:

• Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
• If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person or persons, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
• If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety.  If they refuse to cooperate, I will legally take additional steps to ensure their safety without seeking their permission.

No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy

Purpose: This policy outlines the expectations regarding client attendance and cancellation of therapy sessions. 

Definitions:

• No-Show: When a client misses a scheduled session without prior notice.
• Late Cancellation: When a client cancels an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice. 

1. Client Responsibility: Clients are expected to attend scheduled sessions promptly. If a client is unable to attend, they must provide at least 24 hours’ advance notice to cancel or reschedule. 
2. No-Show Fee: If a client fails to attend a session without notice, they will be charged for the full session fee. The fee will be billed directly to the client.
3. Late Cancellation Fee: For late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice), clients will be charged the full session fee. Exceptions may apply in cases of emergencies or extenuating circumstances.
4. Billing Process: After a 15-minute waiting period, we’ll add the fee to your account and payment will be made per the standard upfront payment terms.

Ethical waiting list management: 

Your RTSC therapist is compassionately committed to ethical waitlist management. Sometimes, when inquiring about availability for a service, the therapist’s caseload may be full or at capacity and unable to accept new clients immediately.  We acknowledge your need for therapy and know how important it is to immediately connect with a therapist during challenging times. We apologize for this inconvenience but will offer to place you on our waitlist. We will provide you with monthly status updates until an opening becomes available. If, after 120 days, we are not able to accommodate you with a therapist, we will close your referral.
